INTRODUCTION
Simply put, content marketing involves the continued use of digital content
(e.g. web content, blog and social media posts, photos, videos, podcasts, etc.)
to engage potential customers and create awareness about and interest in your brand.
Consistently producing authentic and quality content will (over time) excite people about your product or service, which means they will become loyal followers and promoters of your brand
(think word of mouth, which is basically free marketing).

Content marketing is important, not only from an organic SEO perspective, but also for building brand awareness without being overly promotional. Brand awareness is a key factor when it comes to recruiting new business and retaining existing clients.
It is also a tool to connect with your target audience, whilst building your brand, because these days everybody is asking: ‘what’s in it for me?’
